Award winning Filwood Green Business Park

Filwood Green Business Park achieves the first ever BREEAM ‘Outstanding' rating for an
industrial building in the South West. This state of the art resource is built for the community to complement other local facilities. The project forms part of the Knowle West Regeneration Framework. gcp were appointed as construction stage architect by Midas Construction Ltd. for Bristol City Council.

The building comprises: new build workshops, incubation units, offices, and flexible workhub space (B1 uses) providing 3,700m² of net lettable employment space. It incorporates: solar panels, green roofs, a wetland ecology area, electric vehicle charging points, cycling /walking facilities and will be on the new Metrobus bus route.

The business park complies with Bristol City Council’s Environmental Access Standards, which achieves over and above the requirements of building regulations

The development has already earned numerous environmental accolades and was a finalist for BREEAM's People's Choice Award as one of the highest-scoring environmental friendly buildings across Europe. The project was delivered using Building Information Modelling level 2.
