Nicola Thorogood
BSc(Hons)
Sustainability Projects Coordinator

Nicola manages our sustainability services, liaising with clients, promoting the activities of the company and undertaking environmental assessments. Nicola is currently extending her knowledge, studying an MSc in Sustainable Development at Exeter University.

Neil Richards BA(Hons)
Sustainability Assessor

Neil brings an enthusiasm and a wide range of experience to preparing sustainability assessments and is developing a great understanding in many aspects of environmental design. He is also currently involved in developing his knowledge in permaculture principles to further a belief in sustainable living.

image Jeremy Pilling BA(Hons)DipArch RIBA
Director

Jeremy has lived and worked in Bristol for most of his professional life and has an excellent knowledge of the local area. He founded gcp with Graham Carruthers in 1987. Jeremy has developed a detailed knowledge of planning issues on difficult sites, including rural greenfield sites, development of brownfield land, and the associated requirement of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

Lisa Pritchard BA(Hons) MA Urban Design
Urban Designer

Lisa has a critical understanding and practical skills in both planning and urban design, with considerable experience on a full range of related land-use, economic development and regeneration matters. She is consulted on all significant planning applications to ensure existing and emerging policy matters are understood as well as playing an increasing role in project management and planning risk assessments for new projects.

Colin Powell BA(Hons)DipArch MSc RIBA
Director

Colin worked in commercial practice in London for 13 years before moving to Bath in 1989 and joining gcp in 1995. His focus is on developing responses to the increasingly important environmental and sustainability issues involved in the building industry. In 2005 Colin completed an MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings at Cardiff University, gaining a distinction for his research into the energy efficiency of pre-fabricated housing.
    
image Michael Hanson BSc(Hons)BArch RIBA
Architect
Michael is particularly interested in issues of conservation and sustainable design. He has undergone training to become an accredited assessor for BREEAM EcoHomes, Code for Sustainable Homes, and SAP assessments; and is able to provide important environmental support to many projects within the office.
