Refurbishment of Bristol County Ground indoor practice facility in advance of the Cricket World Cup.
On recommendation from the England and Wales Cricket Board, gcp was appointed by GCCC to complete a refurbishment of Bristol County Ground. The project was undertaken in only 8 weeks from inception to completion, to ensure the club had international standard indoor practice facilities in advance of One Day International matches and the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
The facility had been identified as being substandard as an international venue by the ECB. gcp redesigned the former multi-sport sports hall and coordinated specialist suppliers to ensure this groundbreaking pilot scheme achieved the stringent ECB performance standards for lighting, flooring and netting.

The first ECB-approved LED lighting installation.
2 protected padding up and bag drop areas providing a safe transition and coaching space.
