New pavilion building for Swindon Town Football Club. Community Foundation. gcp worked firstly for Swindon Town Football Club Community Foundation to resolve design, planning and buildability related issues and then Beard Construction to provide the detailed designs and construction support for this new pavilion.
Located at Foundation Park adjacent to the football club’s County Ground, the project included changing facilities and club room for the existing athletics track and a new Football Foundation funded 3G football pitch.
The building layout is rational and easy to navigate. Common areas are generous in order to cope with high volumes of users, the building also incorporates a passenger lift. With changing facilities on the ground floor, the first floor provides the main club room with facility for future subdivision, catering support and fantastic views of both the football pitch and athletics track.
