background

Molly’s passion for spatial design began as a child, keenly modelling familiar spaces. This early interest evolved into a clear ambition to pursue a career in architecture.

Throughout her training, Molly focused on the social impact of design. Both her undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations explored how architecture can better serve children and individuals with mobility impairments, reinforcing her belief in the importance of accessible, inclusive environments that promote well-being for all.

While volunteering at an orphanage in Jaipur, India, Molly also developed a profound appreciation for the role architecture plays in enhancing physical and mental health - particularly for children. This experience deepened her commitment to designing inclusive, user-centred spaces, a guiding principle in both her academic and professional practice.

experience

Prior to joining gcp, Molly gained experience across a range of sectors and project scales, including healthcare, education, workplace environments, transport hubs, and high-rise student accommodation. Her work on bespoke housing and residential extensions in London included producing tender packages and submitting planning applications.

At gcp, Molly has primarily worked within the housing sector, developing a strong understanding of building regulations, compliance requirements, and construction processes. Her involvement in design and build housing projects has required close collaboration with contractors, deepening her appreciation for the importance of clear and consistent communication throughout a project. Molly also regularly draws on her interior design background to offer thoughtful, user-focused recommendations and to problem-solve effectively during client meetings.

Alongside architectural work, Molly is an active member of the marketing, sales, and media group at gcp. This experience has broadened her perspective, highlighting that architecture extends beyond design and project management, and that success in practice is multifaceted, involving strong business and communication skills.
