background
Nicola is a qualified architect, and has gained experience working in a mixture of small to large practices in Sussex, London and Bristol, before joining gcp.
Sustainability has been a core focus throughout her architectural career. At university she founded a student climate action group to improve sustainable practices and teaching.
Now, at gcp, she is part of the team that pursues gcp’s becoming carbon neutral, by meticulously tracking the company’s carbon output and intake.
This enthusiasm is also applied to project work where she has so far focused on sustainable housing and community projects. At gcp she has worked on a variety of housing projects for people with a range of different needs.
Nicola is also part of a small team organising gcp’s internal activities and events.
experience
Nicola has experience across RIBA work stages from feasibility to construction stage, having worked on very large high rise housing projects, large housing schemes, small developments and individual buildings and homes.
Previous experience has included working closely with contractors to design and build homes constructed using a panellised system with low embodied carbon credentials.
Nicola is an extremely detail orientated worker with a particular interest in sustainable and people focused design.
She relishes being part of a team with a diverse range of skills and experience.
