Senior Technologist CIAT

What’s the job?

Senior Technologist to lead on a variety of projects, ranging from residential decarbonisation and retrofit work, to new build housing and sports schemes. You will be working with a small and experienced group within the office, mentoring and guiding project architects, technologists and architectural assistants. You will be expected to design and lead your own projects. It’s a job with plenty of variety in terms of the type of projects we take on, a great opportunity to work with interesting clients and there will be endless scope for you to grow within the business.

Who you are?

The person we are looking for is an enthusiastic client-facing Senior Technologist with strong technical skills and a proven track record of coordinating design processes for medium to larger projects, up to circa £10m through RIBA Stages 0-6. Does that sound like you?

You need to be a CIAT qualified Chartered Architectural Technologist with ideally ten years of project running experience, preferably in the UK. And you need to demonstrate experience of the town planning system, building regulations, NBS specifications, design coordination, procurement processes and sustainable construction methods and detailing. Knowledge and experience of decarbonisations and retrofit standards / procedures will be an advantage, but not mandatory.

Because the role involves taking the lead on specific projects, liaising with built environment professionals and dealing directly with clients, we are looking for an excellent communicator who can work independently and has effective leadership and organisational skills.
